Farm Birthday Party

I have been trying to get some inspiration for Griffin 1st birthday, so I looked at Kerigan's 1st birthday party pics and couldn't resist sharing them again with you..

Milk the cow game was rubber gloves with pin holes in fingers in which children squezed out the "milk" into the large bucket.  

Cupcakes made by Delicious in Greensboro nc,  tiers were created by using mason jars with peeps inside, candy grass decorated the tiers.  

Large Cow was decorated as children walked in by putting black spots on the cow with their name on it. 

Wreath greeted guests as they came in (all paper decorations were made on the cricut)

Favor's were adorable buckets adorned with ribbon and personalized for each child.  Inside were rubber ducks, stickers, farm animal books and crayons.

Look I can stand!!  Griffin stood in his crib yesterday, he was laughing and jumping when I came into the room to get him after nap..  All I could do was giggle.. SO sweet!!

Boomerang Express

This week was soooo much fun.  Kerigan's preschool Cornerstone Baptist held a week long Vacation Bible school..  Kerigan was in the two year old class while Griffin spent time with two other babies, and I voluntered in preschool crafts.. We all had a fun and very tiring week.. I am beginning to see what lies ahead in august trying to get two kids up and ready to be out the door.  Nevertheless we made it everyday just in the nick of time.. 

Kerigan learned so much this week, she has slept with her bible everyday since starting last week..  

Here's a little story about Kerigan and a bible story she heard..

Kerigan learned about Jesus and his friend Peter.. She was told the story about Peter being out on the boat when Jesus appeared coming toward him walking on the water.  Later after dinner I asked Kerigan about the story, I said "It was so amazing that Jesus walked on water, he is a mircle Kerigan."  Kerigan said "no no mommy, Jesus not walk on water he fall down and choking he drown, non non he not do that."  I said "he did, that's why he is so amazing."  "we can't do those things, only Jesus can."  "no way" she persisted..  So Corey chimes in and says "kerigan jesus had on special slipppers so he could walk on the water."  (OHH MEN)  So yesterday we were packing up the car to go swimming at the pool.. Right before we got in the car  Kerigan said wait, she ran upstairs and came back to the car WITH HER SLIPPERS!!  She said I take them to pool so I not choke on the water, I walk!!  Ohh as cute as this story is, I still am not sure how to explain this to her again.  Gotta love kids!!

Griffin is allready 6months

Well technically he turned 6 months a few weeks ago.  Today I took him for his shots and check up..  He is sitting, loves to play with paper, puts everything in his mouth, loves food..

He is eating 3 meals drinks at least 5 times a day and is beginning to look like he is scooting some.  He weighed 16.5 lbs and was 26.5 inches long..  He was a trooper during his shots and fell asleep in my arms as I walked from the appt..  He is truly an awesome baby..

Catch up time

So much has been going on.. I swear I am busier now that when I work full time.. The spring has seemed to bring lots of rain to out part of NC. The kids are just changing and growing everyday.

Griffin is sitting and falling, he is rolling and loves to make noises..especially at his sister. At last check he was 15.9 pounds..he has such cute rolls. He is eating three meals a day and taking two naps, he sleeps through the night (mostly).. He is just a joy to be with.. Here are a few new pics ..

Kerigan is growing tooo, she seems taller to all of us. She loves to talk, draw, make crafts, dance to music (god she sounds like me) She sings her ABC's and just this week she learned how to spell her name.. (wish I could bottle up all her excitement for learning for the later years to come)!

Rain Rain go away

Kerigan is so lucky, a wonderful family friend, sent her the most wonderful new raincoat. She really loved playing in the rain while I took her pictures

St Patty's Day

I just love St. Patty's day.. This year there was no corned beef, green beer or potatoes.. But there were two cute kids dressed up in green sporting reddish colored hair!! Here are our little leprechauns.

Popie's Birthday!

It was just a wonderful Sunday brunch to celebrate Popie's birthday. Popie is the best, he is funny, hard working (he still works everyday at the hospital), caring, creative and loving. Happy Birthday Popie

The Wonderful World of Kerigan

Kerigan has really begun to come into herself lately. She potty trained herself this week the days inside from the snow really helped. She knows most of her ABC's she can count to 10, knows all her shapes and colors. She uses some "great language" when she is negotiating with us like, "please stop it, move back, I don't like that, I said NOW." She is ALWAYS talking, being silly and creative. She loves to color and draw. This is what we call "business." Mam Ma called it business first and it just kindof stuck. Lots of times she can be found drawing and putting stickers on old planners we have given her. Recently she even started sleeping with and taking to school a "cal cu cur" (calculator) This makes her pop pop proud, maybe someone will enjoy math as much as he does.

"Oh boo boo nother foot, Ohh silly doose Kerigan, silly doose kerigan."





We just love you soo much Kerigan and can't wait to see and hear what you will do next!!

NC Snow

We had a huge storm here. We got at least 6 inches. It was so much fun to play in the snow and take pictures. I wish it would snow more so I could sit inside and take in all it's beauty. Kerigan and I went sledding (thank goodness I save my snow pants from high school, one wrong move and I would have split the seams, but they kept me warm.) Spring is on it's way, this weekend it's going to be in the 70's...can't wait

JUNGLE PARTY

kerigan had a terrific time at her jungle birthday party last saturday. We painted faces, blew bubbles, hit a lion pinata, made jungle animals in playdoh, went coconut bowling and even pinned the tail on a lion. Many of her friends were able to come som even drove a few hours to be there (thanks Page, Greg, Mc Kay and Rylee!!) Here are a few pictures from our Jungle adventure

Kerigan turns TWO!!

Last Thursday Kerigan turned TWO.. I brought Dora cupcakes to her preschool (she goes two mornings a week) She loved having her mom and Griffin come into her class, I think she enjoyed the cupcakes and party hat even more!!

After a busy morning Kerigan had another Birthday celebration, me ma, nana, popie, uncle shane, aunt becky and Mc Kenna came over for pizza and cake. She opened lots of presents and ate another piece of cake!!

Griffin rolled

He did it he rolled, I am not sure why I so excited about this, since this now means he is semi on the move too. Luckly it was a slow roll from his tummy to his back. He turned 3 months old the day he rolled..Yeah Griff

Grrr

I decided it would be wise to start practicing the animal faces I plan to do for Kerigan's party next weekend. Here is my first attempt at a Tiger. Kerigan loved it, she just kept asking, "look in nother mirror."

Ahh Babies

There is nothing more wonderful, than that of a newborn baby. I had the pleasure of taking McKenna's pictures today, and she is beautiful!! I hope to learn how to take better pictures next time, but loved practicing never the less.
